Providing wheelchairs to people affected by disabilities around the world is possible because of our dedicated Chair Corps volunteers who serve across the United States. These volunteers provide local drop-off sites for used wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes. And for years, they’ve faithfully collected used mobility equipment to be restored and delivered to people with disabilities in developing countries.
But there are over 70 million people in the world today who are in need of a wheelchair, and for over 90% of those people, wheelchairs are unavailable and unaffordable.
